Having trained with some of the top plastic surgeons, there are many different ways Dr. Rozbeh, Dr. Radbeh, and Dr. Ramyar Torabi can improve your nose and help you achieve excellent results. If you are coming from Scottsdale, Gilbert, Mesa, Glendale, Chandler, Paradise Valley, or surrounding AZ areas, or traveling to Elite Plastic Surgery from another state, during your nose job consultation at our office in Phoenix, AZ, you can express your feelings about your nose, what you would like to change to get the best rhinoplasty results in Arizona. We will also discuss your ultimate goals for plastic surgery, as well as your ultimate rhinoplasty goals. Our plastic surgeon will examine your nose and facial features, take photos of your nose, and explain the available techniques, associated risks, limitations, and potential outcomes for your facial structure.

What is Rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty, commonly referred to as a nose job, is a highly customized surgical procedure that can improve the appearance, proportion, and function of the nose. Depending on your goals, rhinoplasty may involve reshaping the nasal bridge, refining the nasal tip, adjusting nostril size, or correcting internal structural issues that affect breathing.2 Because the nose plays such a central role in facial balance, even subtle refinements can create a dramatic improvement in overall harmony and appearance.

Rhinoplasty Procedures We Offer

Revision Rhinoplasty

Revision rhinoplasty is performed to address concerns following prior nose surgery, whether cosmetic, functional, or both. This procedure is often more complex than primary rhinoplasty due to scar tissue, altered anatomy, or compromised structural support. Our surgeons have extensive experience addressing asymmetry, breathing issues, over-resection, and dissatisfaction from prior procedures.

Ethnic Rhinoplasty

Ethnic rhinoplasty is a specialized approach that enhances the nose while preserving and respecting a patient’s ethnic identity. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all or “western” aesthetic, this specific version of a rhinoplasty focuses on refining proportions, improving balance, and addressing functional concerns without erasing cultural characteristics.

Common goals may include bridge augmentation, nostril refinement, or tip definition, all performed with careful attention to skin thickness and structural support. The result is a nose that blends seamlessly with the rest of the face while remaining true to your heritage.

Non-Surgical Nose Job

A non-surgical nose job uses injectable dermal fillers to improve nasal shape temporarily without surgery. This option is ideal for patients seeking subtle refinements such as smoothing a dorsal hump, improving symmetry, or enhancing bridge definition with minimal downtime.

While results are not permanent and cannot correct functional issues, non-surgical rhinoplasty can be an excellent option for select patients looking to preview changes or avoid surgery altogether.

Am I a Good Candidate for Rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty is ideal for patients seeking to enhance their facial appearance and correct certain breathing issues. The procedure can be performed at any age, though it is generally recommended that children and teens wait until their facial growth is complete before undergoing it.

Good candidates for rhinoplasty will be interested in addressing the following concerns:

  • A disproportionate nose
  • A deviated septum
  • An enlarged nasal tip
  • Excessively flared nostrils
  • Crooked or off-center nasal bridge
  • Difficulty breathing clearly
  • Chronic sleeping issues

Benefits of Rhinoplasty

Because results and techniques vary from patient to patient, our team of talented plastic surgeons will work with you to help you explore other procedures that can complement your nose-reshaping surgery to ensure that your facial features display a harmonious sense of balance.

At Elite Plastic Surgery, the key objectives of rhinoplasty for facial harmony are:

  • To make the nose more proportionate to your facial features and profile
  • To improve the external appearance of the nose
  • To reduce the size or length of the nose
  • To reform the shape and size of the nostrils for easier breathing and cosmetic enhancement

Should I Consider Septoplasty?

In addition to cosmetic enhancements, nose surgery can address functional issues. Our surgeons can help you correct a nasal blockage, a deviated septum, a congenital condition, or other issues that prevent you from breathing clearly through your nose or obstruct your sinus function. We also see patients who were born with nasal deformities or who experience difficulty breathing after a traumatic accident involving the nose. Septoplasty can be ideal for you if you’re experiencing any of the following issues:

  • A deviated septum
  • Snoring
  • Sleep apnea
  • Nasal impediments
  • Sinus-related problems
  • Airway obstructions

What Happens During the Procedure?

Thanks to their extensive training and broad experience, our surgeons can offer patients a range of approaches and techniques for nose surgery. We offer both open and closed rhinoplasty, as well as a “non-surgical nose job,” delivering impressive results with minimal downtime. Your surgeon will work with you during your consultation to decide on the technique that is right for you, your facial structure, and your goals.

Open Incision

The open incision technique is ideal for more significant cosmetic enhancements. The incision appears similar to an inverted “V” made at the columella, which is the central column of the nose that separates the nostrils. Once healed, the scar will become nearly invisible.

Closed Incision

The closed incision technique may be used in some cases. These incisions are made within the nasal passages, allowing you to avoid any visible scarring. The endonasal approach is usually reserved for patients desiring smaller, less drastic cosmetic changes.

Bone Removal

After the incisions are made, excess bone cartilage will be removed if necessary, so your surgeon can create your desired appearance and sense of function. In most rhinoplasty surgeries, the dorsal hump is the area that needs reduction.

Tissue Addition or Removal

Patients often want tissue removed or added to their noses. Excessive tissue is often removed, but in some cases, it needs to be added. When tissue is needed during nose surgery, it may be taken from the nose, ear, ribs, or pelvis.

Skin Replacement

After your surgeon has successfully created your nose’s attractive new structure by either adding and/or removing bone and cartilage, he will carefully drape your facial skin back over the frame of your restructured nose.

Incision Closure

Finally, any incisions (internal or external) will be closed with “permanent” sutures, which are typically removed within 5 to 10 days. Dissolvable sutures are also an option your surgeon may recommend during your consultation.

Recovery and Results

Your Guide to Post-Rhinoplasty Care

Recovery after rhinoplasty or septoplasty surgery typically takes between two and four weeks, but every patient is different and heals according to their own timeframe. You can expect swelling and bruising around your nose and eyes for approximately two to three weeks, and we’ll ensure you have everything you need to remain comfortable. Keeping your head above your chest will significantly reduce any existing swelling.

Congestion is also common following rhinoplasty surgery and can sometimes be caused by the splints and nasal packing that are worn during the first few days of your recovery process. After these splints are removed, you will be able to appreciate better and admire the attractive new shape and contours of your nose. Most patients find that they’re able to return to their normal routines after about four to five weeks.

During your consultation, you’ll receive aftercare instructions to support your recovery and a detailed timeline to help you understand what to expect. We’ll also schedule follow-up appointments to ensure that you’re healing properly, and our team will be available to you at all times throughout your journey with us.
