Brow Lift Surgery (Browplasty) – Eyebrow Lift – Scottsdale & Phoenix, AZ
Brow Lift in Arizona
A prominent, drooping eyebrow is a tell-tale sign of maturing facial skin. At Elite Plastic Surgery, we offer men and women a surgical lift of the brow called browplasty. Drs. Torabi can elevate a sinking brow, remove deep worry lines, and improve the appearance of the eyebrows, forehead skin, and upper eyelids that look sad, tired, angry, or grumpy. A brow lift involves excising the excessive forehead skin, and raising the brow muscles and skin to the appropriate level that gives you a more youthful appearance. We will discuss the type of brow lift you may need, which depends primarily on your facial features and aesthetic preferences. We offer 3 types of brow lifts: open, endoscopic, and limited incision. Every patient is different, so results and surgical techniques may vary from patient to patient. If you would like to learn more about a brow lift at Elite Plastic Surgery, call our office in Arizona to schedule a consultation.
OPEN BROW LIFT
An open brow lift involves lifting the skin from the underlying tissue by making an incision at the hairline or in a crease of the forehead, removing excess fat or skin, and loosening tightened muscles. Your plastic surgeon may raise your skin (after removal of the excess skin) to elevate the brow to a higher, younger-looking position. An open brow lift is also known as coronal, classic, or trichophytic brow lift.
ENDOSCOPIC BROW LIFT
An endoscopic brow lift at Elite Plastic Surgery offers our patients, who don’t need an extensive brow lift with a minimally-invasive procedure. With tiny incisions on your scalp, your plastic surgeon will insert an endoscope to transmit images to a computer screen so that he can perform the procedure under the guidance of the computerized imagery. This option provides you with little to no hair loss, and minimal nerve damage.
LIMITED INCISION BROW LIFT
A limited incision brow lift is a hybrid procedure that involves making a nerve-sparing incision over the temporal hair line. This procedure does not involve use of an endoscope, but the incision is still well hidden, and does not require incisions in the scalp directly above the eyes. Your plastic surgeon can then redrape your lateral eyebrow, and reposition skin and tissues to an elevated place for a rejuvenation around the eyes.
DO I QUALIFY FOR A BROW LIFT?
The best candidates for brow lift surgery are men and women who have:
At your initial consultation, the doctor will examine the overall health of your skin and examine the wrinkles, creases, and folds in your forehead. During the procedure, the plastic surgeon will use one of several techniques that best fits the patient’s cosmetic needs. The most common approach uses a small incision made along the hairline or the brow line. A local anesthetic will be used to reduce discomfort and pain during the surgery. While there are more invasive approaches to this procedure, the surgeon will decide if they are needed to achieve the patient’s desired outcome.
BROW LIFT RECOVERY TIME AND HEALING
Following brow lift surgery, swelling and bruising is expected on and around the forehead and eyes during healing. You can expect this to subside after 1 – 2 weeks. Brow lift recovery time may take 3 – 4 weeks following the procedure before you can see signs of improvement.
