Sometimes a surgery can leave you with a tiny scar or a very large obvious scar. Not all general surgeons are as artistic or skilled at making scars inconspicuous as a trained plastic surgeon, like Dr. Torabi and Dr. Matatov at Elite Plastic Surgery. This is why we offer surgical and noninvasive solutions for patients of all ages to camouflage their scars with paramedical micropigmentation. Our Certified Aesthetician, Ashley Fasso, is very talented at cosmetic tattooing, especially with 3D and 2D nipple tattooing for our breast reconstruction patients. This technique can also help cover birthmarks, trauma scars, and disfiguring burn marks. Paramedical micropigmentation is performed at Elite Plastic Surgery in Phoenix, AZ as an outpatient service. After a private consultation, we can provide you with a specific treatment plan to dramatically improve the look of your scar(s). Individual results may vary, so call to learn more today. We look forward to meeting you.
Types of Micropigmentation@headingTag>
After you have a surgery, you always run the risks of having a surgical scar. As plastic surgeons, we do our best to conceal incision marks as a precaution to scarring. However, not all surgeons have the talent or skill to minimize visible scarring. We can use pigmentation to blend the color of the scar with the surrounding skin to lessen the visibility of the damage.
Nipple & Areola Tattooing@headingTag>
After a mastectomy and breast reconstruction, we offer cosmetic 3D and 2D nipple tattooing 8 – 12 weeks post-operation. We can visually recreate the pigmentation of the areola and nipple to help the reconstructed breasts look as realistic and natural as possible.
Some men and women are born with very visible birthmarks of all shapes and sizes. With paramedical micropigmentation, our Certified Aesthetician can cover a birthmark with your own flesh tone to blend in with your skin.
During Your Appointment@headingTag>
Paramedical micropigmentation is generally performed as an outpatient service. Our plastic surgeons may suggest anesthesia to make it as painless as possible during the procedure. We can estimate your appointment time based on the size and location of the treatment area. Larger areas will take longer to cover. Keep in mind that it may take several treatment sessions of layering on the pigmentation to fully blend the color into the skin.
Again, this process may need to be repeated multiple times to be effective, and our plastic surgeon can discuss that with you at your private consultation. We advise you to follow all of the aftercare instructions given to you by our plastic surgeon and member of our aesthetics team. As with many tattoos, you will use a healing ointment, and cover the area with fresh, sterile gauze throughout the day, as recommended.
